  1. I'm trying to install juddiv3.0.2 portal bundle release under ubuntu 10.04 LTS (the latest release, which I've downloaded 10 days ago)
I'm following your instruction in this video, and I've processed the startup.sh successfully and got the following 4 lines:
    -------------------------------------------
    Using CATALINA_BASE: /home/aibig/workdesk/juddi-portal-bundle-3.0.2
    Using CATALINA_HOME: /home/aibig/workdesk/juddi-portal-bundle-3.0.2
    Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /home/aibig/workdesk/juddi-portal-bundle-3.0.2/temp
    Using JRE_HOME: /home/aibig/workdesk/jdk1.6.0_20
    -------------------------------------------
when I tried to use the next operation (tail -f ../logs/, then I've got the following error:
    ----------------------------------------
tail: error reading `logs': Is a directory
tail: logs: cannot follow end of this type of file; giving up on this name
    tail: no files remaining
    ----------------------------------------
I'm kinda new to ubuntu, but very enthusiastic to work on it and migrate from windows.
I would be very happy to receive some help from you.
    Thanks.

  2. Hi Mamoun,

You can't tail a directory (only a file). Please use the jUDDI user forum if you have any more issues. You will reach a larger audience there.

    Good luck,

  4. Hi Bruno,

I'm not sure. If you can't use the pre-configured juddi-portal-bundle I would ask the Apache Pluto user list. It may have to do with turning on shared contexts in tomcat. Also it is better to ask question on user lists regardless. You will reach a larger audience and probably have quicker response times.
